Courtesy

Unless your teacher recommends otherwise, students are routinely included in scheduled concerts.

For courtesy to all performers, students are expected to remain for the length of the entire concert.

Recital Piece

The recital piece is chosen at least two months prior to the recital date. The solo is memorized no later than one month before the recital date. The purpose of a concert is to perform a previously learned piece with polish and confidence.

Concert Time/Location

Concert times are organized by the Children’s Piano Institute, LLC  in conjunction with each participating school. Time and location information is then relayed to the teacher.

The private teacher will contact parents via a note in the student’s music notebook at least two weeks before the concert date.

Attendance

A student gains confidence in performing when it is done frequently. We schedule two performances per year and encourage students to perform for family and peers whenever opportunities arise. Parents can help by making each concert a special family event.
